The gender Isekai is on the rise with multiple anime of this type premiering every season and in MyAnimeList a ranking with the 10 worst classified was revealed.
Among the reasons that may explain why an isekai anime series can be rated so poorly are the lack of originality in the story, underdeveloped characters, excessive clichés and poor execution. Many of these series fell into repeating previously seen formulas, without contributing anything new to the genre.
