130 thousand people visited AnimeJapan 2024

O AnimeJapan, the biggest event in the anime industry in Japan, this year 2024 registered a growth of 32% compared to last year, and in the two days open to the public it received 130 thousand visitors. Although the numbers are impressive, they are still below pre-pandemic levels.

Over the two days, 132,557 people passed through the doors of Tokyo Big Sight to visit a record 110 exhibitors. This is an increase of 32,000 people compared to last year, which had 100,051 participants, but is still below the 146,616 participants in 2019.

The organization of AnimeJapan revealed that the event raised 6,427,850 yen ($42,477) to the Ishikawa Prefectural Disaster Relief Fund.

It was also revealed that the AnimeJapan 2025 will take place from March 22 to 26, 2025.

O AnimeJapan is the biggest event in the anime industry in Japan, created in 2014 and resulting from the merger of Tokyo International Anime Fair with the Anime Contents Expo.

O AnimeJapan is organized by the AnimeJapan Executive Committee, with the support of the Japanese Animation Association and the Manga Publishers Association.
