“To Be Continued” at the end of the anime episode One Piece has become a distinctive feature of this anime.
But it’s not always the regular “To Be Continued” screen, there are also many “To Be Continued” screens with special scenes that match the episode.

1. つづく – Episode 1 and 2
In episodes 1 and 2, there is no “To Be Continued” screen, what there is is つづく which more or less means the same thing, to be continued.
Since episode 3, “To Be Continued” has appeared, which we have known all this time.
2. Water Effects – Episode 10
In episode 10, “To Be Continued” appears with a water splash effect and slightly changes the appearance of the writing.
3. Wood – Episode 26
In episode 26, the words “To Be Continued” appear on the wood that was destroyed and blown away by Luffy’s attack.
4. Heat Effect – Episode 93
In episode 93, Luffy and the others enter Alabasta which is a desert, the writing at the end of the episode is affected by the hot weather.
5. Mr. Kiss 2 – Episode 431
Episode 431 closes with Mr. 2 giving his kiss to the screen, his lip print still on the screen “To Be Continued”.
6. Go to New World – Episode 516
Episode 516 is the last episode before timeskip two years in episode 517. In this episode, it’s not “To Be Continued” but “Go to New World”, closing the first chapter of the anime. One Piece.
7. White Spots – Episode 702
In episode 702, a white spot appears behind “To Be Continued”, which refers to a disease Law suffered from as a child, where these white spots would appear on the sufferer’s skin.
8. Crack – Episode 917
In episode 917 Blackbeard shows the power of Whitebeard’s Gura Gura no Mi, he uses this earthquake power and cracks the end of the episode too.
9. Sparkle – Episode 924
In episode 924, the words “To Be Continued” glowed and then disappeared.
10. Falling cherry blossom petals – Episode 956
In episode 956, there are cherry blossom petals falling, not many in number and this closes the second half of the Wano arc.
11. Cherry blossom petals blown by the wind – Episode 974
In episode 974, the cherry blossom petals behind “To Be Continued” and these cherry blossom petals are spinning.
12. Cherry blossom petals in front of the writing – Episode 1004
In this episode Oden loses to Kaidou, the cherry blossom petals covering “To Be Continued” indicate Oden’s defeat.
13. Kong Gatling – Episode 1017
At the end of the episode, Luffy uses Kong Gatling on Kaido and his giant fist continues to the words “To Be Continued”.
14. Raimei Hakke – Episode 1048
In this scene, Kaido’s face is seen with lightning from Riamei Hakke when these two powers clash between Kaido and Yamato.
15. Z Zoro – Episode 1062
After Zoro successfully defeated King, the “To Be Continued” scene shows Zoro’s sword slash forming the letter Z.
16. Damned Punk – Episode 1066
In episode 1066, Kid uses Damned Punk at the end of the episode, then his purple beam attack forms the words “To Be Continued”.
17. Cherry Blossom Petals – Episode 1077
Wano often includes cherry blossom petals in the “To Be Continued” arc of its story, including in episode 1077.
18. Shanks’ Wound – Episode 1112
The latest and most recent “To Be Continued” scene is in episode 1112 when Shanks slashes Kid who tries to attack his alliance.
What’s interesting in this scene is that it shows three cuts on Shanks’ face which are already iconic with Shanks.
