Since 2005 until now, Nobita’s voice actor in animations Doraemon is Megumi Ohara.
But before that, from 1979 to 2005 Nobita’s voice actor was Noriko Ohara.
On Tuesday (23/7/2024), 81 Produce, a voice talent management company in Japan, announced that Noriko Ohara passed away on July 12 after unsuccessful treatment for an illness.
Noriko died at the age of 88.
In memory of Noriko, here are 5 of her most prominent roles.
1. Nobita Nobi – Doraemon (from 1979 to 2005)
As mentioned, one of Noriko Ohara’s most prominent roles is as Nobita.
He had voiced Nobita for quite a long time, from 1979 to 2005.
Of course, during that time he did not only voice Nobita in the series. He also voiced Nobita for the films. Doraemon in 1979 to 2004, the last one was Doraemon: Nobita in the Wan-Nyan Spacetime Odyssey, 2004 release.
Then since 2005, Nobita’s voice actor has been Megumi Ohara.
2. Tamako Nobi – Doraemon (1973 version)
In 1973, there was an animation Doraemon which consists of 26 episodes.
There, Noriko Ohara voices Tamako Nobi, Nobita’s mother.
It’s unique indeed, because then when Doraemon got a long animated series starting in 1979, Noriko actually voiced Nobita.
3. Doronjo – Yatterman
Apart from Nobita, Noriko Ohara’s other iconic role is Doronjo from Yatterman.
He has played Doronjo for a long time, starting from the 70s until now. Yatterman Night in 2015.
4. Conan – Future Boy Conan
Future Boy Conan is a 1978 anime series.
This anime with 26 episodes was directed by Hayao Miyazaki.
Noriko Ohara voices Conan, the series’ main character.
5. Claudia LaSalle – Super Dimension Fortress Macross
In classic anime Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Noriko plays Claudia LaSalle.
In fact, it’s not just Claudia, she’s also the narrator of the series.
