In lore story Jujutsu Kaisen, There are several methods that are actually loopholes so that Gojo can come back to life. But unfortunately, all of these methods have been locked due to the lack of practitioners or the cause of death experienced by Gojo himself.
What are these methods? Here’s the list!
1. Using Ogami’s Seance technique
Toji’s reaction when he saw his son’s face (Doc. Mappa / Jujutsu Kaisen 2)As the name suggests, Ogami’s Seance technique allows him to resurrect the dead.
What he needs is the medium of the individual’s body and the information material of the dead person to be resurrected. Usually, Ogami only wants to summon body information because there is a risk of rebellion from the spirit soul being summoned.
It is not impossible for Gojo himself to be able to live a full life considering that this ability can indeed summon souls. Unfortunately, this method does not work because Ogami was quickly killed by Toji and it is not known whether this technique has been passed down to the new generation or not.
2. Full use of the reversal curse
Yuji was stabbed by Yuta (Doc. Shueisha / Jujutsu Kaisen)This method has proven successful in Yuji’s case.
While fighting against Yuta, Yuji was stabbed by his senior in the heart. Automatically, death came to him a second time.
So there, Yuta managed to revive Yuji with a reversing curse so that he managed to live again.
From there, in theory Gojo could live the same way.
The problem was, his body itself had been split in two so healing him in time was impossible. Plus, now Gojo’s body is being used by Yuta to fight Sukuna.
3. Shoko and Utahime sacrifice themselves to revive Gojo
Shoko tries to cure Haibara (Doc. Mappa / Jujutsu Kaisen S2)Still regarding number two, there is a scenario where Shoko and Utahime could create a Binding Vow to strengthen the effect of their technique to the point of being able to raise the dead.
However, it seems impossible for that to happen.
Remember, even though Shoko and Utahime are Gojo’s colleagues, they are both realistic people. They are willing to sacrifice just to restore the life of a wizard who was even defeated by the king of curses.
Apart from that, both of them also have vital positions. Without Shoko, the witch party would be in trouble because they lost their best doctor. Meanwhile, Utahime was so loved by the Kyoto students and of course they didn’t want her to be sacrificed.
4. Gojo himself does the Binding Vow like in Yuji’s case
Yuji attacks Sukuna (Doc. Shueisha / Jujutsu Kaisen)If no one was willing to sacrifice, Gojo could live again by doing Binding Vow.
This is expected to happen considering that Yuji had also made his binding oath when Sukuna first died.
But unfortunately, this is impossible because Gojo’s soul is literally already in the afterlife Jujutsu Kaisen. Yuji was able to do Binding Vow because his soul was in Sukuna’s personal domain.
After all, Gojo no longer has any burdens in the world and has no intention of living again just to take revenge on Sukuna.
This can be seen in his dialogue when he was at the airport, after he fell from Sukuna.
5. Live again as a cursed spirit
Naoya is about to attack Maki (Doc. Mangaplus / Jujutsu Kaisen)There was one case where a witch was able to live again, but as a curse. To make that happen, the wizard just needs to die normally, either from disease or being attacked with a normal attack without the curse energy element.
This happened to Naoya, who even though he lost to Maki, died at the hands of Maki and Mai’s mother, who was actually an ordinary person. As a result, the witch turned into a curse and entered the Culling Game.
Unfortunately, Gojo doesn’t seem to be able to experience this because he clearly dies as a result of Sukuna’s technique.
That’s a list of Gojo’s methods for coming back to life which unfortunately couldn’t happen.
