1. Appears for the first time as Geto’s subordinate

Miguel himself first appeared in the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen: 0 where he plays one of Geto’s men.

He received an assignment from Geto to divert the attention of the magicians, especially Gojo Satoru. Therefore, he and his partner, Manami appeared in Shinjuku during the witch battle and the curse occurred.

It is still unclear what Miguel’s underlying motive was that he was interested in following Geto at that time.

2. Known to have survived after fighting Gojo

In the seconds leading up to the battle, Miguel realized that Gojo had sent his two students back to school using a teleportation technique. Because of that, he and Manami immediately decided to start a war.

Miguel immediately begins his role by challenging Gojo to a fight. Knowing that this man’s technique was very difficult to resist, the African wizard equipped himself with a special weapon called the Black Rope.

But unexpectedly, Gojo still managed to dominate until Miguel was forced to retreat while cursing Geto for taking too long in his task of capturing Rika.

3. After the story of Jujutsu Kaisen: 0 ended, Miguel was recruited by Gojo to train Yuta

After conflict Jujutsu Kaisen: 0 ended, Geto’s group went on hiatus. Well, it is known that Miguel chose to resign and return to his hometown.

Surprisingly, Miguel is recruited by Gojo to train Yuta. Since then, he has become the teacher of this special class magician candidate.

Unlike Gojo, Miguel’s relationship with Yuta is shown to be quite good even though the two of them were in two opposing camps.

4. The only known current user of Black Rope

Despite his wizard status, Miguel’s special abilities have not been revealed until now.

He is shown to only rely on a cursed weapon called Black Rope. This rope itself is known to disrupt the effects of other curse techniques, including Limitless.

However, the downside to this rope is that it will continue to burn until it runs out if used too often.

Apart from that, it is known that the rope is a rare object. Yuta even said that he failed to find the weapon while traveling with Miguel.

This makes Miguel the only Black Rope user for now.

5. Successfully saved Ui Ui who was almost hit by Sukuna’s attack

After not appearing for a long time, Miguel finally returns at the end of chapter 254.

That moment happened right after Kusakabe fell so Ui Ui hurriedly teleported to evacuate the man.

Unfortunately, this move had been anticipated by Sukuna, who was sick of seeing this pattern over and over again.

So, right when Sukuna attacked Ui Ui, Miguel managed to take the boy to a safe place with lightning speed.

The character Miguel himself is voiced by Koichi Yamadera.

This voice actor himself has been involved in the world of dubbing for a long time since 1986, where he first provided the voice for the character Otter (Bosco Adventure) and Cookies (Mock and Sweet).

He is also known to be the voice of Tenshinhan from Dragon Ball Z and Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop.

During the anime Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War release, it is known that Koichi was chosen to provide the voice of Quilge Opie.
