There are several characters Naruto the design of which feels less than okay Boruto. Anyone?
Below are six examples. Two of them are manga-specific designs, which thankfully haven’t made it to the anime yet!
1. Shino Aburame
crunchyroll.com/Boruto Naruto Next GenerationsWhen Shino was younger, in the era Naruto and then in the series Shippudenhe is consistently designed with glasses and clothing that usually covers his mouth. Complete with a hooded coat too if you want Shippuden.
The design makes Shino feel cool and mysterious. So even though Shino herself is sometimes not in the spotlight, she still has a unique impression and steals attention.
Perhaps because she has become a teacher, Shino decided to wear a different costume from her usual style when she was younger. She wears a more modern style of glasses and a new hairstyle.
However, this change in style actually makes Shino feel like he has completely lost his element. cool-it and becomes less prominent.
2. Anko Mitarashi
crunchyroll.com/Boruto Naruto Next GenerationsAnko’s main problem isn’t actually her weight gain. So far Naruto And Boruto could feature characters like Choza, Choji, and Chocho from the Akimichi family, who still feel strong and dangerous.
The problem is that Anko’s clothing design and appearance feel too ordinary. Even so, Anko has also felt weakened in terms of strength so far. This is most noticeable in episode 156, where Anko is sidelined for part of the episode so that Chocho can exert Butterfly Mode.
In the end, I also wondered if this was the same Anko as the Anko in Naruto or different characters but the same name.
3. Gaara
crunchyroll.com/Boruto Naruto Next GenerationsActually, in terms of design, BorutoGaara’s only weakness is one. But it’s a serious weakness too. His hairstyle.
If only Gaara’s hairstyle was closer to his younger self, this design would have looked even better.
Let’s see if Gaara will change his hairstyle or not in the coming years. Especially when Boruto grows up.
4. Kankuro
crunchyroll.com/boruto-naruto-next-generationsActually, in general, Kankuro’s appearance is basically similar. His face is still decorated with a pattern, and he wears a hood.
The problem is that Kankuro seems to be bald now. Or maybe just bald in the front, if we look at the part of his head that is visible through his hood.
If Kankuro does have a shaved head now, I feel like the design would stand out even more if he finally took his hood down and we saw Kankuro’s facial decorations that probably reached the top and back of his head.
With this hood, Kankuro feels like he’s trying to hide his head but awkwardly. The hood is positioned a bit too high.
5. Hinata Hyuga (manga version)
mangaplus.shueisha.co.jp/Boruto: Naruto Next GenerationsHinata in the anime version is fine. While her clothing choices may feel a bit too simple, she still feels like an important character.
But this manga version…
Mikio Ikemoto’s choice for Hinata’s hair in the manga feels completely out of place for the character.
Even so, this hair design is still maintained until chapter 44. I really hope that the anime version will not follow this magical hairstyle for Hinata.
6. Konohamaru Sarutobi (manga version)
mangaplus.shueisha.co.jp/Boruto: Naruto Next GenerationsKonohamaru is in a unique position too. His anime version character design is on the list myworld.com for character Naruto which makes it feel more dashing Boruto.
While the manga design actually falls into this category. One reason is Mikio Ikemoto’s choice of hairstyle, which doesn’t seem to suit Konohamaru.
Especially since we’ve previously been shown his spiky hair in the anime which suits him better.
Luckily, so far the anime version of Konohamaru’s hair has not changed to look like this.
Those are the six characters Naruto the design of which feels less than okay Boruto. Interestingly, for the first four characters, it’s not the anime designer’s fault. Boruto. Open chapter 700 manga Naruto you, and you will see Gaara, Kankuro, Anko, and Shino’s new designs designed by Masashi Kishimoto himself.
