“Dragon Ball”, this masterpiece by Akira Toriyama, began as a vibrant adventure, mixing action and fantasy, and turned into an anime phenomenon full of epic battles and those ki attacks that, admit it, everyone has tried to imitate at least one time. It is difficult to even measure the cultural impact that “Dragon Ball” had, establishing a firm presence in pop culture with its iconic characters, exciting fights and movements that have become legendary.
But, look, not everything is just heroism and glory. In the “Dragon Ball” universe, we find a gallery of villains and anti-heroes that are chilling. Some characters, in particular, stand out not only for their strength, but for the impressive number of opponents they have sent to another dimension. So let’s take a look at these “Dragon Ball” characters who have an absurdly high body count and who have never hesitated to take the lives of countless sentient entities.
Beerus, the Destroyer of Worlds
To understand Beerus, it’s crucial to realize his unique position as God of Destruction. His role, although it may seem brutal, is essential in the balance of the “Dragon Ball” universe. Beerus, by nature, is responsible for destroying planets and annihilating life, which significantly increases his kill count. However, there is a softer side to him, something one wouldn’t expect from someone with the title of Destroyer of Worlds. This duality between destruction and mercy makes Beerus a complex and fascinating character.
Vegeta, the Saiyan Prince
Vegeta, oh, this guy has quite a story! In recent years, he has calmed down a lot, living peacefully on Earth… of course, with the exception of a few battles here and there. But it was not always so. There was a time when he was in the service of the tyrant Frieza, and during that period, Vegeta not only destroyed entire worlds, but also seemed to enjoy the idea of annihilating people. Although he is calmer nowadays, his Saiyan pride still appears, especially in the most epic fights of “Dragon Ball”, showing that the thirst for battle and the desire to defeat opponents at the height of their power are still there.
Frieza, the Tyrannical Emperor
Speaking of Frieza, this guy is one of the most Machiavellian villains in “Dragon Ball”. He terrorized the universe, subjugating anyone who stood in his way. His thirst for power was insatiable, to the point of destroying planets for fun or to eliminate any threat to his reign. The moment when Goku, transformed into a Super Saiyan, defeated him was epic, revenge for the atrocities committed against his race. Frieza is so iconic that he even made a triumphant return in “Dragon Ball Super”, leaving fans excited for what comes next.
Kid Buu, the Out of Control Villain
And speaking of imbalance, Kid Buu is a classic example. This guy started his career as a villain by blowing up the Earth, which already says a lot about his level of evil. Kid Buu was such a problem that Goku had to use one of his biggest Spirit Bombs to finish him off. Seeing this crazy villain being defeated after causing so much death and suffering was a defining moment in the series.
Zeno, King of the Multiverse
Zeno, this guy is a force of nature in “Dragon Ball”. He is not only the most powerful character, but also the ruler of the entire multiverse! At first glance, he may seem like a spoiled child, but the truth is that he has the power to eradicate anyone in the blink of an eye. His most impactful action was during the Tournament of Power, when he eliminated entire universes that failed to impress him. Even though this damage has been reversed, Zeno has made it clear that he can eliminate any entity in the “Dragon Ball” universe without any effort, and has probably done so several times before being introduced into the series.
Zamasu, the Despicable Villain
Zamasu, this is one of the most detestable villains in “Dragon Ball”. Ignoring his responsibilities as Kai, he destroyed Earth to fulfill his Zero Mortals plan. What makes Zamasu particularly diabolical is the fact that he took over Goku’s body, using the Saiyan’s power to destroy the world. Earth was only saved thanks to the intervention of Goku and Vegeta, helping Future Trunks defeat this tyrant. Zamasu’s end, at the hands of Zeno, was a more than satisfactory ending to Future Trunks’ arc in “Dragon Ball Super”.
Moro, the Planet Eater
Finally, we have Moro, known as Planet Eater. This villain has not yet appeared in the anime, but the manga has already shown that he is a colossal threat, seeking unlimited power to become one of the most powerful beings in the galaxy. His body count is astronomical. The victory over Moro was only possible when Goku achieved True Ultra Instinct. Without Goku’s intervention, Moro would continue to be a gigantic threat to the universe… unless Beerus decided to intervene, of course.
