The Roger Pirates are perhaps the greatest pirate group in history One Piece.
The Straw Hat Pirates have the potential to surpass them, but for now the Roger Pirates still have several achievements that surpass the Straw Hats.

7. Excelled in the Edd War

Aided by a storm that came suddenly and destroyed many of Shiki’s fleet ships, Roger’s group managed to win this sea battle.
6. Able to keep up with the Strongest Man in the World

Even when Whitebeard was old and sick, you could still see he deserved that nickname. He also beat Akainu badly at Marineford.
When Roger fought Whitebeard in chapter 966, he was already sick, while Whitebeard was still in his prime. But Roger was still able to keep up with Whitebeard for days.
5. Survived God Valley, and apparently beat up the Rocks with Garp
