Initially, when leaks of this film circulated, several people mentioned this form netizens with a name like “Final Gohan” but the form’s name appears to be Son Gohan Beast.
What is known about Son Gohan Beast? This is what is already known from promotional materials and notes regarding Dragon Ball Super: Super Heroes.
1. First debuted in Dragon Ball Super: Super Heroes

Toriyama’s notes stated that he had tried to draw Gohan with a scary face and pale skin, but it didn’t feel like Gohan.
Toriyama then added big hair (big upturned hair). This addition was well received, and was said to look very cool.

3. The basis for Son Gohan’s name Beast

The name was given in the sense that the beast inside Gohan had awakened.

Gohan Beast also feels much stronger than that form.
7. Gohan was able to achieve this form because he saw Piccolo getting beaten

Initially we were shown that Cell Max was able to beat all the fighters who tried to fight him, including Orange Piccolo.
Gohan Beast is able to take attacks from Cell Max, and then Gohan Beast’s attacks are able to deal with Cell Max.
It seems that Cell Max has indeed weakened a bit after being hit by Gamma 2’s sacrificial attack, however, Cell Max’s weakened form is still troublesome and needs to be handled by Gohan Beast.
9. In Dragon Ball Super manga version, Gohan Beast is able to face Ultra Instinct
