Ami Maeshima, a voice actress known for her roles in BanG Dream! and D4DJ, announced on Friday that she has recovered from her health issues and returned to work. She also confirmed that she will continue to voice Aya Maruyama in BanG Dream!, despite her previous decision to quit.
Maeshima took a break from all entertainment activities last November, citing her poor physical health as the reason. She said that she would share more details about her condition after her recovery. She also said that she would step down from some of her voice acting roles, including Aya Maruyama in BanG Dream! and Ibuki Niijima in D4DJ. The producers of both series said that they would find new voice actors for her characters, but only the D4DJ series actually replaced her.
Besides Aya in BanG Dream! and Ibuki in D4DJ, Maeshima has also voiced Makeru Yadano in Komi Can’t Communicate. She has also sung theme songs for the anime series that she has starred in, as well as for the BanG Dream! and D4DJ franchises.
