It was announced today that an anime series adaptation of SANDAa manga by Itagaki Beachthe creator of the manga BEASTARS.
Still without many details, we know for now that the animation was delivered to the studio. Science SARU (DEVILMAN crybaby, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!).
SANDA began publication in Weekly Shōnen Champion in July 2021 and came to an end in the magazine today. Its 15th volume will be released on August 7, 2024.

SANDA Synopsis
The manga tells the story of adults and children in a near future with a declining birth rate. An ordinary boy named Sanda discovers that one of his classmates, Shiori Fuyumura, is trying to kill him, because of the disappearance of Fuyumura’s friend and a certain “curse” that Sanda carries.
Itagaki Beach started publishing his manga BEASTARS in Weekly Shōnen Champion in September 2016 and finished publication in October 2020. Its 22nd and final volume was released in January 2021.
The final season of the anime adaptation of the manga will premiere at the end of 2024. BEASTARS.
Animation by the studio Orange who know from animes like Land of the Lustrous and Dimension W, the direction is by Shinichi Matsumi (assistant director of Pom Poko, Porco Rosso; episodes of Rurouni Kenshin, Rage of Bahamut Genesis), the story is by Nanami Higuchi (Little Witch Academia, Ninja Slayer From Animation) and the character design is by Nao Ootsu (Saga of Tanya the Evil weapon design). The music is the responsibility of Satoru Kousaki (Wake Up, Girls!, Oreimo both seasons, Monogatari Series Second Season).
