November 21st will be shown on the program Iwakura and Yoshizumi Show from the TV Asahi an interview with Yoshihiro Togashithe author of the manga Hunter X Hunterwhere according to leaks the author will reveal several alternative endings to the story, one of them being in the case of his death.
The leak has not been officially confirmed so we have to be careful, but according to @Pewpiece 4 scenarios will be revealed for the end of the manga Hunter X Hunter. Togashi will reveal in the interview what will happen if he ends up dying before the story ends.
According to the leak scenario A is considered satisfactory for 50% of readers, while the B will be neutral and W will be mostly unsatisfactory.
The three endings, from A to C, are still being worked on by him and are kept secret as such. In fact, Togashi mentions that he prefers the B ending, but it will certainly be unpopular with fans. Thus, as Hunter X Hunter to be continued, Togashi You can find ways to mix the B ending with the others.
However, there is a Scenario Dwhat Togashi describes it as an option that could be the end if he is unable to complete the manga before he dies:
Scenario D: At the edge of the lake, a girl named Jin, with a fishing rod in her hand, remains motionless. Suddenly, the cane swings violently and Jin, frightened, exclaims: “I caught him! I caught the lord of the lake.” She skillfully places the lord of the lake on her shoulders and, in front of a woman, exclaims: “As promised, I have captured the lord of the lake! Mother”. Jin approaches the woman and passionately declares: “You must not tell me again that I need to become a hunter”.
The woman, no longer tricked out, nods. Jin, still carrying the lake lord on his shoulders, leaves. The mother tells her husband that Jin’s dream is to never leave the island and inherit her place. The father nods, laughing, and the mother expresses her displeasure, saying, “Maybe your wishes will change later. But I want to know, you and Jin, why are you like this? I’m sure it’s because of Grandma Mito and Grandma Noko’s blood.”
The woman seems unaware that Grandma Mito and Grandma Noko are not related by blood, and the father smiles knowingly. The woman, expressing her lack of will as a mother, adds: ‘But grandfather Gon was a famous hunter… and this girl will one day leave the island.
Jin insists, ‘I will never leave!’, although she is no longer visible in the heart of the forest, she overhears her parents’ conversation and responds defiantly. Her father, amused, tells her: “You have a good eye.”
The scene changes to the shop continuing its work from Mito’s days. The lord of the lake was cut cleanly and his internal parts tidied up. Jin thinks as he works: “Mommy never understands. When Grandfather happily talks about his hunting memories, Grandmother Noko silently moves away from her seat. Every time Grandpa Gon speaks, his belief is heard by someone. She hits the cutting board hard with a knife: “I’m tired of this!! Waiting for someone to return after months and years of sadness breaks my heart… If I make someone wait for me, me.” Then the door opens and a warm voice rings out. A chubby boy enters with a plant in his hand.
The child exclaims: “I really caught the lord of the lake! Well, let’s honor the entire island with this!” Jin responds, “I’ve always… I’ve always wanted to be with the person I want to be with. Together forever”. The boy nods: “Yes!” Both, with wide smiles on their faces, cook the food. A bird flies away from the island, over a city and its people. The son of one of them, the daughter of another and the grandson of another live in different places, exchanging smiles. They could be children of this character and grandchildren of that other. The bird flies away. In the background, a figure observes the scene.
