The 11th and final episode of Season 5 of the anime series adaptation of the manga Bungo Stray Dogs in Kafka Asagiri (writer) and Sango Harukawa (drawing) ended with a message indicating that we can still expect more anime.
Interestingly, a ridiculous situation occurred in which the final subtitle of the episode in Japanese erroneously stated that the work was “finished”, but the anime’s official website clarified that the text was an error and that the text should in fact say “To Be Continued”.
The staff will correct the error in the Blu-ray/DVD release. Crunchyroll’s subtitle for the final caption reads “To Be Continued.”
The staff is the same as in previous seasons so we have animation by the studio Bonesdirection of Takuya Igarashi and argument of Yoji Enokido.
In the cast we have:
- Yuuto Uemura as Atsushi Nakajima.
- Mamoru Miyano like Osamu Dazai.
- Sumire Morohoshi as Kyouka Izumi.
- Kensho Ono as Ryuunosuke Akutagawa.
- Kishou Taniyama as Chuuya Nakahara.
Nakajima Atsushi was kicked out of his orphanage, and now has nowhere to go and no food. While he is at the foot of a river, on the verge of starving to death, he rescues a man who was capriciously trying to commit suicide. This man is called Dazai Osamu, and together with his partner Kunikida they are members of a very special detective agency. They have supernatural powers, and deal with cases that are very dangerous for the police or armed forces. They are looking for a tiger that appeared in the area recently, at the same time Atsushi also appeared in the area. The tiger seems to have a connection to Atsushi, and by the time the case is solved, it’s clear that Atsushi’s future is going to involve a lot more Dazai and the rest of the detectives!
