Long ago, a powerful Demon Lord ruled the people until an equally powerful hero rose to defeat him. To counter future threats, Rosewood Academy, a school for heroes, was created. Today, Rosewood Academy admits only the best of the best, and Arnest Flaming is the best of them all. The school’s best student, an obedient girl nicknamed the “Flame Empress,” has an irritating encounter with a cheerful boy in the school hallway who seems to match her powers, even though she has never met him before.
