Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a series Shounen by Koyoharu Gotouge which tells the story of Tanjiro Kamado, a boy who becomes a Demon Slayer to avenge the death of his family and find a way to bring back his younger brother who was turned into a Demon.

The series includes 12 arc each of which offers a varied plot, accompanied by the introduction of characters in the spotlight, whether from the protagonist or antagonist side.

• Tanjiro Kamado: The main protagonist of the story becomes a Demon Slayer in order to take revenge on Muzan and return Nezuko to her normal human form.
• Zenitsu Agatsuma: Tanjiro’s classmate in the Demon Slayer Corps. This Lightning Breath user is very timid, but becomes very strong when he sleeps.
• Inosuke Hashibira: Tanjiro’s partner who graduated at the same time as him. He is a Beast Breather user who appears distinctively with his boar mask and barbaric nature.

2. Hashira

These are the names of the Hashira or Pillar characters Kimetsu no Yaiba, whether they are still alive, retired, or have even died.

• Giyu Tomioka: The first pillar introduced in the series. He is a Water Hashira and one of Sakonji Urokodaki’s students.
• Shinobu Kocho: Insect Pillar specializing in the medical field.
• Kyojuro Rengoku: He was the Fire Pillar who was sent on the Mugen Train mission with Tanjiro and friends, then died in the fight against the Upper Moon Demon 3 Akaza.
• Tengen Uzui: Hashira Suara who came from the ninja village. He carried out a mission with Tanjiro and friends in the Entertainment District, then decided to retire early after that.

3. Ubuyashiki Family

Ubuyashiki is a family that carries the responsibility as the Leader of the Demon Slayer Corps from generation to generation in order to break the curse that befell the boys in their family due to Muzan being born as the first Demon on Earth.

• Kagaya Ubuyashiki: The leader of the corps since the beginning of the story, usually called Oyakata-sama by the members of the Demon Slayer Corps.
• Amane Ubuyashiki: Kagaya’s wife is very loyal, loving, and fearless.
• Kiriya Ubuyashiki: The middle child and only son of Kagaya and Amane who will become the final corps leader.
• Hinaki Ubuyashiki: Kagaya and Amane’s eldest child who sacrificed his life at the beginning final arc.
• Nichika Ubuyashiki: Kagaya and Amane’s second child also died at the start final arc.
• Kuina Ubuyashiki: Kagaya and Amane’s fourth child will accompany Kiriya as his father’s replacement corps leader.
• Kanata Ubuyashiki: The last child of Kagaya and Amane who accompanied Kiriya along with Kuina.

4. Butterfly House

Butterfly Mansion is the home of the Kocho Siblings and a rehabilitation center for members of the Demon Slayer Corps who suffered injuries after the battle. The Butterfly House is managed by several of Shinobu’s trusted people, with Aoi as its head. The following characters play an active role in the Butterfly House.

5. Devil

Basically, the Devil is the antagonist of the story and the enemy of humanity. However, there are some cases where the Devil does not agree with his master, Muzan, and chooses to fight alongside the Demon Slayer.

• Muzan Kibutsuji: The first person to become a Devil and is considered the Demon King. He travels and creates an army of Devils in order to find Blue Spider Lily which can give him eternal life.
• Nezuko Kamado: Tanjiro’s younger brother who was turned into a Demon and managed to maintain his human consciousness.
• Tamayo: One of Muzan’s created demons who managed to rebel after being saved by Yoriichi. Now he uses his knowledge in the field of pharmacy to create a potion that can turn demons into humans.
• Yushiro: A demon created by Tamayo who devoted his life to serving Tamayo.
• Tanjiro Kamado: Tanjiro briefly turned into a Demon towards the end Sunrise Countdown Arc. He will become the strongest Devil in history if he fails to be cured.
• Susamaru: One of the antagonists in the arc Asakusa who was manipulated into believing that he was one of the 12 Kizuki members.
• Yahaba: Susamaru’s partner who was also tricked into believing that he was a member of the 12 Kizuki.
• Shizu Shinazugawa: Genya and Sanemi’s mother turned into a devil and was killed by Sanemi.

Upper Moon Devil

• Kokushibo: Upper Moon Demon 1 who was once a Demon Slayer in the Sengoku era.
• Doma: The Upper Moon Demon 2 who had killed Kanae and Inosuke’s mother.
• Akaza: The Upper Moon Demon 3 who killed Kyojuro Rengoku.
• Nakime: Upper Moon Demon 4 Hantengu’s replacement, the owner Infinity Castle.
