With this trailer it was announced that Doctor Elisethe anime series adaptation of manwha Surgeon Elise (Gekai Elise / Elise) by yuin with illustrations by miniwill premiere on January 10, 2024. Below you can see a new promotional image.
The animation is from the studio Maho Filmthe direction is Kumiko Habara (I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss), the story is of Deko Akao (Komi Can’t Communicate) and the character design is by Yuuko Watanabe (Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai, Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii).
The opening theme is “believer” by the character Elise (voice by Yui Ishikawa) and the ending theme is “Listen” by Maju Arai.

The story follows Aoi Takamoto, who was once an evil empress named Elise before being executed by her husband Linden. However, after she dies in a plane crash, she is once again reincarnated into her previous life as Elise, 10 years before her execution. She avoids marrying Linden this time to avoid a tragedy.
