You Rabbit & Bear Studios revealed via the October 2023 update on Kickstarter that the game Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes There will be a mini card game.
The game director, Osamu Komuta, said that the card game will involve players trying to defend three positions on a board while using a hand of cards. Each of the three positions will have a place to play a card, and the strength of each position will be decided by the sum of the scoring values of the three cards.
Some cards also have additional abilities that affect each player’s score. For example, Hildy card adds a +3 bonus to strength when played. Other cards apply bonuses depending on color combinations, while others can take points from the opponent.
Deck-building elements will also be part of the minigame. Players will be able to purchase card packs from the game’s stores and customize their decks to improve their tactics. However, we don’t know if some cards will be unlocked through missions or side quests.
This isn’t the first minigame Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. During a gameplay demo at Tokyo Game Show 2023 A fishing minigame was also introduced.
