You can see the first trailer above How to Become Ordinarythe anime series adaptation of the novel Shoushimin in Honobu Yonezawa.

Encouraged by many of the staff The Promised Neverlandthe series in Japanese will have the title Shoushimin Series it is in English How to Become Ordinary.

With animation by the studio Lapin Trackthe direction is Mamoru Kanbe (Elfen Lied, The Promised Neverland, You and Me.), the argument is Toshiya Ono (The Promised Neverland, Shadows House, 86), the character design is by Atsushi Saitō (Black Fox, Love Live! Superstar!!) and the music is the responsibility of Takahiro Obata (Cinderella Nine, The Promised Neverland).

In the cast we have:

  • Shūichirō Umeda as Jōgorō Kobato
  • Hina Yomiya as Yuki Osanai

The adapted novels will be Shunki Gentei Ichigo Tart Jiken (The Case of the Springtime Limited-Edition Strawberry Tart) and Kaki Gentei Tropical Parfait Jiken (The Case of the Summertime Limited-Edition Tropical Parfait), which were published in December 2004 and April 2006, respectively.

How To Become Ordinary Anime Poster

The story revolves around Jōgorō Kobato, who wants to live a peaceful and ordinary life after a painful experience. He and Yuki Osanai form a “mutually beneficial relationship” as Yuki also wants the same thing. They start high school as classmates with the plan to spend their peaceful days as ordinary people, but unfortunately they continue to get involved in mysteries and disasters as they happen one after another.

The novel has already received several manga adaptations, including Shunki Gentei Ichigo Tart Jiken per Anko Manjūya which was released from 2008 to 2009 with 2 volumes and Kaki Gentei Tropical Parfait Jiken in Omiomi which was released from 2010 to 2011, also with 2 volumes.

Honobu Yonezawa is a Japanese secretary known mainly for the novel Kotenbu (Classic Literature Club) which began in 2001 with Hyōka which in 2012 was adapted into a 22-episode anime by the studio Kyoto Animation. A manga adaptation was released on Monthly Shōnen Ace.
