A Toei announced that Fuuto Tantei: Kamen Rider Skull no Shouzou (FUUTO PI: Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull), the anime film based on the manga Future Tantei (Futo Detectives), written by Riku Sanjou and illustrated by Masaki Satouwill premiere on November 8, 2024. The film will tell the story of the beginning of Kamen Rider W.

With animation by Studio KAI (Super Cub, Skeleton Knight in Another World), the direction is again by Yousuke Kabashima. They also return Tatsuto Higuchi for the script and Kotaro Nakagawa for the character design.
The cast is the same as the anime series with the addition of Kenjiro Tsuda like Sōkichi Narumi. We have:
- Yoshimasa Hosoya as Shotarō Hidari
- Kōki Uchiyama like Phillip
- Akira Sekine like Tokime
- Mikako Komatsu as Akiko Narumi
- Makoto Furukawa as Ryū Terui
- Daisuke Ono as Yukiji Bandō
This manga is a continuation of the series Kamen Rider Wwhich was shown between September 2009 and August 2010 in Japan. As an official continuation, Fuuto Tantei was written by the main writer of the TV series, Riku Sanjou. The manga began serialization in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits magazine in August 2017.
Synopsis of Fuuto Tantei
In Fuuto City, criminals use devices called “Gaia Memories” to transform into super-powered monsters known as “Dopants,” wreaking havoc on the peaceful city. However, there are also heroes who use the “Gaia Memories” to fight these criminals, one of whom is the self-proclaimed detective Shoutarou Hidari. With the help of his resourceful partner Philip, the two transform into Kamen Rider W, the legendary hero of Fuuto City.
After the fall of the Museum, the evil organization responsible for many crimes in Fuuto, the production and distribution of Gaia Memories was stopped. However, the remnants still remain in society and are sold on the black market at high prices. Therefore, the two heroes of the Narumi Detective Agency have not had time to relax yet.
