Many criticisms point out that Konami abandoned game creation, but the company’s financial results demonstrate otherwise. One source says the following: ”Although some perceive it as a company focused on pachinko and away from gaming, the financial results demonstrate otherwise. However, it is true that many of Konami’s biggest successes do not reach the Western market or go unnoticed outside of their captive audience.”

Some fan comments:

“So can we expect Konami’s franchises to finally make the leap to anime?”

”Konami established its own anime studio. We already have TMS Entertainment under Sega Sammy and Sunrise under Bandai Namco, but this is different. Is it like Cygames?”

“I’ll be waiting for the next projects from this studio, how excited!”

“It’s amazing how little trust people have in this company today, but they continue to generate millions and millions of dollars anyway”

” This certainly revives hopes of seeing Konami’s franchises make the jump to anime. Silent Hill? Metal Gear? I can’t think clearly because of the emotion.”

Fans are excited for future projects from the new studio Konami Animation.
