Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age are coming to Nintendo Switch Online on January 17th

Nintendo has announced that it will add two Game Boy Advance classics, Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age, to the Nintendo Switch Online service on January 17th.

These games are part of a beloved duology that captivated RPG fans with its epic story, stunning graphics, and addictive gameplay when they were released between 2001 and 2003. Developed by Camelot Software Planning, they take you on a thrilling adventure through a fantasy world full of magic and turn-based combat, where you can control the power of the elements with the help of the Djinn.

Here is what Nintendo Ibérica says about the games on its website:

Golden Sun

A dark threat is looming over the world. An evil force wants to unleash the ancient power of Alchemy, which could spell doom for humanity. You and your friends must stop them and restore peace to the world. To do so, you will need to use your weapons, Psynergy, and an army of elemental creatures.

Golden Sun is an epic RPG with a captivating story, set in a vast world. You can collect and combine different types of Djinn – fire, water, air, and earth – to create amazing magical effects.

Golden Sun: The Lost Age

Explore the world of Weyard from a different perspective in this sequel to the popular RPG for Game Boy Advance. In Golden Sun: The Lost Age, you follow Felix and his team on their quest to bring Alchemy back to the world, a goal that the heroes from the first game tried to prevent.

With your new allies, you can cast powerful summoning spells and use the mighty spirits of the Djinn elements. Plus, if you have completed Golden Sun, you can transfer your data to the sequel, using a password to unlock items, levels, and more!
