A Big Comic Zōkan revealed that Gunsmith Davethe first spinoff manga of the long-running manga Golgo 13 in Takao Saito, will return on February 17th with a new arc. The manga ended its first season in 2022.
The protagonist Dave is a constant helper who makes Duke Togo’s impossible shots possible, working an invisible job that he is nevertheless proud of, and is one of the few people Duke Togo trusts. Saito and the Saito Production are credited with creating the manga. The manga Gunsmith Dave was released in Big Comic Zōkan in July 2021, and Shogakukan published the manga’s first volume in September 2022.
A second spinoff manga titled G no Idenshi – Shōjo Fanette was released in Big Comic Zōkan in July 2022. The manga revolves around Fanette, a multi-talented young woman who somehow carries Togo’s genes.
Golgo 13 is a manga created by Takao Saito. It has been serialized since November 1968 in Big Comics magazine (published by Shogakukan).
The manga has already surpassed 200 volumes and sold more than 300 million copies. In April 2021, it set a Guinness World Record for the most volumes published for a single manga series. Still in the same year, in September, Mr. Saito passed away at the age of 84.
Golgo 13 It remains the oldest manga still in publication. A Shogakukan said that, before his death, Saito said he wanted the manga to continue without him, and the group of artists Saito Production work will continue with the assistance of Shogakukan’s Big Comic magazine editorial department and an additional team of writers.
