Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable is an anime series based on the manga of the same name by Kai Ikada. The series follows the adventures of Tsubasa Natsukawa, a boy who moves from Tokyo to Hokkaido, and Minami Fuyuki, a girl who is a gyaru dosanko (born and raised in Hokkaido). The series showcases the charm and humor of Hokkaido girls, as well as the culture and scenery of Hokkaido.
About the Anime Series
The anime series is produced by SILVER LINK and Blade, with Mirai Minato as the chief director and the scriptwriter, Misuzu Hoshino as the director, and Katsuyuki Sato as the character designer. The series will have 12 episodes, which will be later released in 3 Blu-ray volumes. The series will air in the winter 2024 anime season.
Synopsis of Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable
Tsubasa Natsukawa is a boy who has just moved from Tokyo to Hokkaido in the middle of winter. He is not used to the cold and the distance between cities in Hokkaido. He gets off the taxi in the next town to his destination, hoping to see the surroundings of his new home. However, he is shocked to learn that the “next town” is actually three hours away by car. He is also surprised to meet Minami Fuyuki, a girl who is a gyaru dosanko. She wears short skirts and bare legs, even in the minus-8 degree weather. She is cheerful, friendly, and energetic, and she takes a liking to Tsubasa. She decides to show him around Hokkaido, and introduces him to her friends, who are also gyaru dosanko. Together, they have fun and hilarious experiences in Hokkaido, while Tsubasa learns more about Hokkaido girls and their lifestyle.
