How many times did Vegeta beat Goku in Dragon Ball?

Just get it, Dragon Ball is that universe where we get attached to the characters, right? Goku is the man, the chilling protagonist in Dragon Ball, but let’s be real: Vegeta, who started out as an enemy, has won over the crowd since he showed up. They are those rivals that we love to follow, from the first fight until they become comrades who push each other beyond the limits. They bite each other, but deep down, they help each other get stronger.

Goku is always there, doing well and taking down the villain of the moment. But hey, when the conversation is Vegeta x Goku, the game changes. Vegeta, who started out as a bit of a villain wanting to make fun of Goku and the gang, ended up surprising us when we finally saw it. He has fights that go unresolved or have setbacks, but when it comes to blows, Vegeta usually comes out on top.

Remember Vegeta and Goku’s epic fight in the Saiyan saga? That’s when the drooling started. Goku, still excited about discovering that he is a Saiyan, has to face Vegeta and Nappa invading Earth. The Z class gets beaten, but Goku comes with some new maneuvers that he learned from King Kai, like the Kaio-Ken and the Genki Dama.

Vegeta is stronger, but Goku sticks to him with Kaio-Ken. Even so, when Vegeta becomes a Great Ape, the bug catches on. Goku is in the worst shape and only doesn’t dance because the crowd joins in the dance: Krillin with the Genki Dama, Yajirobe cutting off Vegeta’s tail and Gohan also turning into a Great Ape. It was the squad’s victory, but Vegeta was a handful.

And the duel between Majin Vegeta and Goku in the Buu Saga? That was awesome! Vegeta becomes overwhelmed by his own strength and ends up becoming Majin Vegeta. The fight is tense, Goku doesn’t want to hurt Vegeta, but he’s worried. Vegeta goes up, takes out his anger and wins the fight, even though Goku can turn Super Saiyan 3. It’s a victory with a strange taste for Vegeta, but he still takes it.

In Dragon Ball GT, there is a confrontation between Super Baby Vegeta and Goku Super Saiyan 4. Baby invades Vegeta and becomes powerful. Goku even wins in the end, but he needs extra strength from the crowd. It’s not so much a defeat for Vegeta, but rather for Baby.

Dragon Ball Super starts and things get crazy. Vegeta and Goku train with Whis, and Vegeta comes out ahead. Their battle in training is balanced, without a clear winner, but it shows that Vegeta is sharp. Then there’s Copy-Vegeta on Planeta Potaufeu. Goku wins, but he’s not the real Vegeta, so it doesn’t count for much.

And then, in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Goku and Vegeta have a cool sparring session on Beerus’ planet. They end up fainting, but the fight is seen as Vegeta’s victory. They are so excited about the result and what’s to come.

So, that’s it: Vegeta may not have as many victories as Goku against the villains, but in the fights between them, Vegeta can hold his own. The stop between them always brings surprises and shows that Vegeta is the Super Saiyan who deserves respect. And with everything that’s going on in Dragon Ball Super, it might surprise us even more. Keep an eye out!
