O official site of the series adaptation anime from the novel An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride, written by Fuminori Teshima and illustrated by COMTA, released the main trailer. In the video, you can hear the opening theme song “Wakaranai Ai” (A Love I Can’t Understand) by The Brow Beat, and the narration of the anime by Toshiyuki Morikawa.
O anime debut in April 2024. The animation by Brains Base studio, directed by Hiroshi Ishiodori (RIN-NE 3, Kiss Him, Not Me, Shijō Saikyō no Deshi Kenichi). Meanwhile, the script is by Aya Yoshinaga (Crest of the Stars, Project ARMS) and character design by Mina Ōsawa (Given, School Babysitters). The music is the responsibility of Yuma Yamaguchi (Metallic Rouge, Undead Murder Farce).

The novel began to be published in HJ Bunko in 2017 and has, to date, 17 volumes published. One mango adapted by Hako Itagiin progress in the online magazine Comic Fire from the Hobby Japanhad its 11th volume published on 12/01/2023.

The masses fear Zagan as an evil sorcerer. Both socially awkward and foul-mouthed, he spends his days studying sorcery while taking down any invaders within his domain. One day, someone invites him to a dark auction, and there he meets Nephy, an elven slave of unparalleled beauty. In love at first sight, Zagan uses all his fortune to buy her, but being a poor conversationalist, he has no idea how to properly interact with her. Thus begins the strange coexistence of a sorcerer who has no idea how to convey his love and his slave who longs for her master but has no idea how to attract him.
