I’m a Noble on the Brink of Ruin, So I Might as Well Try Mastering Magic Anime Announced

A Happinet announced with this promotional image that an anime adaptation of the novel is in production I’m a Noble on the Brink of Ruin, So I Might as Well Try Mastering Magic (Botsuraku Yotei no Kizoku dakedo, Hima datta kara Mahō wo Kiwamete Mita) by Nazuna Miki.

With animation by Studio Deen It is Marvy Jack (the same studio duo as Nanatsu no Taizai 4) the direction is by Ken’ichi Ishikura (DCIII ~Da Capo III~, Ongaku Shōjo), the argument is Tatsuya Takahashi (Domestic Girlfriend, Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon) and the character design is by Midori Otsuka (Aru Asa Dummy Head Mike ni Natteita Ore-kun no Jinsei). Music is the responsibility of Arisa Okehazama (The Apothecary Diaries, Jujutsu Kaisen).

I’m a Noble on the Brink of Ruin, So I Might as Well Try Mastering Magic began to be published in Shōsetsuka ni Narō in September 2018 and its 8th volume will be released on March 15, 2024. A manga adaptation by Akisaki began to be published in February 2020 on Corona EX and its 8th volume will be released on March 15, 2024.

What’s a man to do when his life suddenly changes while he innocently enjoys a cold drink after work? And I mean really changes.

This middle-aged commoner now finds himself in the body of Liam Hamilton, the young son of a noble house on the verge of collapse. Between his fervently desperate father and his utterly apathetic brothers, the only silver lining to his new situation is that Liam can finally try to learn magic like he always wanted. Little does he know that his favorite hobby could be about to turn his life upside down once again!

Will Liam be able to master the art of magic? And will it be enough to save him from the shadow that hangs over his family…?
