Season 5 of the anime series adaptation of the manga Kingdom in Yasuhisa Hara will end next week with the airing of a double episode. The debut of Kingdom 5 was delayed by 1 week at the beginning of the year due to the effects of the devastating earthquake that hit Japan on January 1st.
The animation is from Studio Signpostthe direction is Kenichi Imaizumi (Houkago Saikoro Club, Brynhildr in the Darkness, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Komori-san Can’t Decline), the argument is Noboru Takagi (Attack on Titan, Baccano!, Durarara!!, Kuroko’s Basketball) and the character design is by Hisashi Abe (Berserk, Pet Shop of Horrors, Gunslinger Girl, Chobits).
The story takes place 2500 years ago in China and follows two young people without a family, Li Xin and Hyō. Despite living as slaves, they both dream of one day becoming great Warlords.
The manga began to be released in 2006 and received an anime series in 2012 with animation by NHK, Sougou Vision and studio Pierrot.
