With animation by the studio C-Station (STARMYU, Dragonar Academy), the direction is by Hikari Asano (direction in Laid-Back Camp), the argument is Jin Tanaka (Go! Princess Precure, Laid-Back Camp, Oshi no Ko) and the character design is by Daisuke Endō (key animation by Ange Vierge, Brothers Conflict, The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!). The music is the responsibility of Akiyuki Tateyama (The Elusive Samurai, Laid-Back Camp).
Scheduled to premiere in the fall of 21024, the cast includes:

Kinoko Inu (Kinokoinu – Mushroom Pup) began publication in Monthly Comic Ryū in 2010 after a one-shot and ended in February 2022. Its 15th and final volume was released in May 2022 and the work has 1.7 million copies in circulation.
The heartwarming story revolves around a baby mushroom that was born in the backyard of picture book author Hotaru Yūyami. It wags its tail like a dog, but it is unclear whether it is a dog or a mushroom. It draws pictures where it shouldn’t and always wants to eat Hotaru’s takoyaki.
