The highly anticipated trilogy of anime films, “Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club 6th Live! I love You You love Me,” was officially announced through a captivating promotional video. Scheduled to debut on September 6, 2024, these three films will mark the conclusive chapter in the anime’s narrative.

Continuing the storyline from the previous two seasons and the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Next Sky OVA, the trilogy maintains the familiar cast and staff. The promotional image, skillfully crafted by Kerorira, offers a glimpse into the visual allure of the upcoming films. Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club originated from the mobile game Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS, introducing a dynamic group.

Sunrise studio takes charge of the animation, led by director Tomoyuki Kawamura (known for Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon). Jin Tanaka, credited for works like Cinderella Nine and Go! Princess Precure, is responsible for the script. Takumi Yokota, who directed the animated film Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow, handles the character design.

The Love Live! franchise, conceived in 2010 by Sunrise, Lantis, and Dengeki G Magazine, has continually engaged fans through its unique “ultimate fan participation project.” Enabling fans to actively influence the future of idols, the franchise’s first installment, Love Live! School idol project, debuted in January 2013, followed by the second season in April 2014. The film Love Live! The School Idol Movie premiered in Japan in June 2015.

Subsequent to this success, Love Live! Sunshine!! entered the scene, with its second season airing on TV in October 2017 and the first season in July 2016. The film Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow graced theaters on January 4, 2020, solidifying the franchise’s enduring appeal and commitment to captivating its dedicated fan base.
