With this trailer the Shochiku announced that a live-action film adaptation of the manga will premiere on March 15th Lovesick Ellie (Koi Wazurai no Ellie) by Fujimomom.
With direction from Miki Kōichirō (2020 live-action by Yowamushi Pedal) and screenplay by Satoko Okazakiin the film we will find Ryubi Miyase (live-action Ushijima the Loan Shark, Ya Boy Kongming!) as Akira Ohmi and Nanoka Hara (Listen to Me!, Don’t Call It Mystery) as Eriko Ichimura. The two actors previously participated in Night Doctor It is Murai in Love.
Lovesick Ellie (Koi Wazurai no Ellie) began publication in July 2015 in Dessert and ended in May 2020 with its 12th and final volume being released in October 2020. The manga was nominated for Best Shoujo Manga at the 42nd Kodansha Manga Awards in 2018.
