A Kadokawa started showing this anime movie trailer Make a Girl where it is revealed that the premiere will take place on January 31, 2025. Below you can see a new promotional image.
With animation by “Yasuda Gensho Studio by Xenotoon“, the direction is Gensho Yasuda, Yuichi Imaizumi is directing the sound in Sleepiness It is Tsutomu Ueno is in charge of sound effects. Kenichiro Suehiro (Cells at Work!, The Eminence in Shadow, Goblin Slayer, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-) is composing the music and Kadokawa Animation is responsible for distributing the film.

The story follows a high school student named Akira, who invents an “artificial girlfriend” named Number 0. Yasuda and your studio Yasuda Gensho are creating the film in collaboration with the 3D CG studio Xenotoon.
The anime Make a Girl is based on the 3D short film “Make Love“, what Yasuda created on his own and aired on February 8, 2020. The two-and-a-half-minute short was selected as the winning entry in the 29th CG Animation Contest, Japan’s longest-running CG animation competition.
Make a Girl is the result of a public fundraising campaign that began on August 26, 2022 on Campfire with the goal of raising 10 million yen (US$67,000). The campaign ended on October 31, 2022 with 23.7 million yen (US$160,000).
Yasuda founded the Yasuda Gensho Studio in 2021, after working as a CG animator for Nitroplus. His independent shorts, created in Blenderare popular on Twitter and TikTok, with 5.8 million followers combined.
