With this trailer the Twin Engine revealed that the anime film Mononoke if you will call Gekijōban Mononoke: Karakasa (Paper Umbrella) and premieres on July 26, 2024.
With production by Twin Engine the animation is from EOTAthe direction is again Kenji Nakamurathe character design is by Kitsuneko Nagata and the music was given to Taku Iwasaki. The anime film was supposed to premiere in 2023, but was postponed until this year.
In the cast we have:
- Tomoyo Kurosawa as Asa
- Aoi Yūki like Roshi
- Mami Koyama as Kayama
The anime Mononoke premiered in 2007 with 12 episodes. The series is a spin-off of the anime Ayakashi – Samurai Horror Tales. Specifically, it follows the medicine seller from the “Bakeneko” (Goblin Cat) arc. The anime Mononoke has five arcs, the last of which is titled “Bakeneko”.
Kenji Nakamura directed the anime series on Toei AnimationIt is Takashi Hashimoto designed the characters and served as chief animation director. Yasuharu Takanashi composed the music.
