After the airing of its 12th and final episode, it was announced that a second season of the anime series adaptation of the novel is in production. The animation of Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon (My Happy Marriage) was delivered to the studio Kinema Citrus (Made in Abyss, The Rising of the Shield Hero), directed by Takehiro Kubota (Ping Pong the Animation, Id:Invaded, Wake Up, Girls! Shichinin no Idol), the script is by Ami Satou (Fugou Keiji: Balance:UNLIMITED, 22/7), Takahito Oonishi It is Gakaitai Suzumethe character design is by Sachiko Yasuda (Prison School, Kakegurui, Happy Sugar Life) and the soundtrack is by Evan Call (Violet Evergarden, Josee to Tora to Sakana-tachi, Big Order.
In the anime we will have Reina Ueda (Ruri in Dr. STONE) as Miyo Saimori and Kaito Ishikawa (Tobio Kageyama in Haikyu!!) as Kiyoka Kudo, who are joined by:

- Kōtarō Nishiyama as Kōji Tatsuishi
- Houko Kuwashima as Yurie
- Hiro Shimono as Yoshito Godō
Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon (My Happy Marriage) began publishing independently in 2018 and in print in January 2019 through Kadokawa. A manga adaptation by Kousaka Rite began to be published in Gangan Online from the Square Enix in December 2018.
A live-action film adaptation will premiere on March 17, 2023. Ren Meguro (from the idol group Snow Man) will play the character Kiyoka and the actress Mio Imada will play the character Miyo. The film is directed by Ayuko Tsukahara and script Tomoe Kanno.
Synopsis of Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon
Miyo Saimori was the unhappy daughter of a loveless arranged marriage. After her mother’s death, her father brought his lover and his new daughter, Kaya. From then on, Miyo’s life was reduced to that of a mere servant. Worse still, while Kaya inherited the family’s psychic abilities, Miyo has none, truly a daughter without merit.
After years of being treated like dirt, Miyo learned to keep her head down for others, hide her pain, and obey every command. Therefore, it is no wonder that she is willing to marry Kiyoka Kudou, a military captain who is rumored to be so cruel that he has chased away all of his potential wives to this day.
From a painful upbringing to a painful marriage, this is the future that awaits Miyo, or so she believes. Contrary to her expectations, her new husband is actually kind.
