A TOHO started showing this trailer My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: You’re Next (My Hero Academia: You’re Next), the 4th anime film of My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia) which will debut on August 2, 2024. In the video we can hear the theme “Homunculus” by Vaundy.
This new anime film will tell a completely original story written by the manga’s author, Kohei Horikoshi, who also oversees the project and character design. The story will take place in the same timeline as the seventh season of the anime.
Tensai Okamura (Darker than Black) is directing the film at the studio CAPS. Returning team members from the anime series and previous films include the screenwriter Yōsuke Kurodathe character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi and the composer Yuki Hayashi.
In the description of My Hero Academia: You’re Next we can read:
A society devastated by battles between heroes and enemies (villains), and infested with Datsugoku, people who escaped from prisons. Just before the final battle between heroes like the protagonist Izuku Midoriya (Deku) and his enemies, a serious incident occurs that shakes the world. What does the title “You’re Next” mean?
