A Square Enix revealed new information about Dawntrailthe next expansion of Final Fantasy XIV which will be launched in 2024.
The main new feature of “Dawntrail” will be the “Viper” class, a new job for the characters. This was revealed by Naoki Yoshidathe game’s producer and director during his speech at Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2023 which took place on October 21st in London.
But the new expansion will not only contain new jobs, but will also include several other contents that include increased levels for characters, new areas, new allied tribes, new dungeons and new battle content:
The expansion will contain the following elements:
- New Job – “Viper”, a short-range fighter who uses two swords that can be combined into a much larger sword and requires the use of both hands to wield it;
- New city – Tuliyollal, headquarters of the federal nation-state that governs Tural, located in the northern region of Yok Tural;
- New Areas – The tropical region of Kozama’uka, full of countless rivers, fountains and waterfalls and the arid region of Shaaloani that opens up vast rain-starved plains through which a train line is being built;
- New Allied Tribe – The Moblins, a people residing in the jungles of Kozama’uka who have a strong resemblance and heritage with goblins;
- New threats – Eliminator;
- New Raid Alliance – Echoes of Vana’diel, a crossover with Final Fantasy XI Online;
- New job – planned to be released in the second half of Patch 7.x.
Yoshida also revealed new details about the content players can still expect in patch 6.x as they prepare for the release of Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail.
A crossover mission with Final Fantasy XVI called “The Path Infernal”, and the expected Gold Saucer attraction inspired by Fall Guys which will be released on October 31st accompanied by Patch 6.51.
Final Fantasy XIV Online is now available for Playstation 4, PlayStation 5, PRAÇA (Steam) It is Mac. The expansion Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail will receive launch in 2024.
