Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (Scott Pilgrim Takes the Leap), the anime series based on the graphic novel Scott Pilgrim in Bryan Lee O’Malleypremiered today on Netflix and to celebrate this new poster was revealed. The poster was designed by Masamichi Ishiyamathe series’ character designer and chief animation director.
The author is the executive producer and responsible for the story together with BenDavid Grabinski (Are You Afraid of the Dark?), the animation is the responsibility of the studio Science SARU (DEVILMAN crybaby, The Heike Story, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!) and its new president, Eunyoung Choi, is the producer. The direction is Abel Góngora (Star Wars: Visions “TO-B1”).
Edgar Wrightthe director and co-writer of the 2010 live-action film adaptation, will also executive produce along with Nira Park, the film’s co-writer Michael Bacall and Marc Platt of Marc Platt Productions, Jared LeBoff and Adam Seigel.

O’Malley published the graphic novel Scott Pilgrim with a strong manga influence from 2004 to 2010. The film Scott Pilgrim vs. the world premiered in 2010 and gave rise to the short “Scott Pilgrim vs. the Animation” that same year. Ubisoft Montreal also released Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game in 2010.
