NTV will focus on reviewing the adaptation process, with a focus on the pre-production phase. The team will gain a deeper understanding of the work’s worldview and setting through online meetings with the original creators.

One year before production begins, the crew and original creators will collaborate on a production plan. Crew members will also refer to a discussion guide when communicating with all parties involved to streamline production.

The company will also review the work and staff recruitment process to ensure that all employees are not burdened with an excessive workload.

Communication and transparency between departments will be improved with more frequent reporting, which will ensure that senior staff are educated on how to best approach issues and questions that arise.

NTV will ensure that all staff on productions, including those from outside the company, are familiar with NTV’s Social Media Policy, which includes points advising caution in the use of social media.

The company will establish a “Social Media Crisis Response Team” to deal with emergencies that arise, including measures to protect staff who experience online harassment with consultation from medical and legal professionals.

Finally, the company will improve training for its human resources team involved in productions. Producers and production crew will be trained in the skills and experience needed to deal with situations that arise, with guidance from veteran producers.

Follow-up meetings will be conducted to ensure producers are on track with the training. The training will also include lessons on the previously mentioned social media strategies and will involve seminars from experts outside the company, original creators and producers.
