5. Buckin: Manipulation as a Maternal Tool
Miss Buckin, mother of Edward Weevil and known as Whitebeard’s lover, reveals herself to be a manipulative character. Under the alias Miss Buckingham Stussy, she uses her son in search of riches, claiming that he must recover his “father’s” treasure. Although she shows some care for Weevil, her actions are driven by greed and manipulation, characterizing her as one of the most despicable mothers in the series.
4. Big Mom: Deadly Indifference
Big Mom, one of the Yonko and ruler of Totto Land, has a tumultuous family background. Abandoned by her parents as a child, she did not hesitate to kill her own children when necessary. Despite her experience with rejection, Big Mom replicated her parents’ cruelty and indifference, making her one of the worst mothers in “One Piece”.
3. Mother Carmelo: False Benevolence
Mother Carmelo, initially seen as an angel for caring for orphans and abandoned children, hid a sinister truth. Her kind and loving appearance was a front for her activities in the Underworld, where she traded children, including Linlin, who would later become Big Mom. The revelation of her true character and her mercenary actions towards innocent children place her among the worst mothers in “One Piece”, especially considering the tragic fate she met at the hands of Linlin.
2. Didit: Noble Indifference
Didit, Sabo’s mother and Outlook III’s wife, personifies the indifference and materialism of the nobility. She completely ignored her son Sabo’s ambitions and well-being, focusing only on molding him according to royal expectations. His lack of genuine concern and his preference for the more conformist son, Sterry, highlight his cold and distant nature. Her inability to recognize or value Sabo’s feelings makes her one of the worst mothers in the “One Piece” universe.
1. Baby 5’s Mother: Cruel Abandonment
The mother of Baby 5, a member of the Donquixote Pirates, is the embodiment of maternal abandonment and cruelty. She left her daughter alone in the mountains when Baby 5 was just five years old, cruelly telling her that she was useless. This inhumane act not only abandoned Baby 5 physically, but also left her with deep emotional scars, leading her to a constant search for validation and usefulness to others. This extreme rejection and lasting consequences for Baby 5 make her the worst mother in “One Piece.”
