I’m counting down the days until January 21, 2024. I can’t wait to see how “Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation” will unfold and how it will further enrich the world of “One Piece.” What an exciting time to be a fan!
It’s amazing to hear that the prequel to “One Piece”, titled “Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation”, is finally going to hit the screens! As a “One Piece” fan, I’m super excited to see how this new story will unfold.
I remember when I read “Monsters” in Weekly Shonen Jump. It was such a captivating story, even back then. The idea of exploring Wano’s past and bringing Zoro’s ancestor, Shimotsuki Ryuma, to life is fascinating. Ryuma is a legendary figure, and his story in the “One Piece” universe has always left me curious.

The fact that Netflix is adapting this story into a 25-minute OVA is exciting. With the same talented team that worked on projects like “One Piece Film: Z” and “Jujutsu Kaisen,” I have high expectations for the quality of the animation and storytelling.
Ryuma’s connection to the title of “God of the Sword” and his feat of slaying a dragon are aspects I have always found intriguing. This story will probably enrich the lore of “One Piece” and perhaps even clarify some fan theories.
What attracts me most is the possibility that this adaptation will bring some surprises, perhaps even revelations that connect to the main plot of “One Piece”. As a fan, I’m always looking for Easter eggs and connections to the series’ larger mysteries.
Knowing that “Monsters” was one of Eiichiro Oda’s first works and that now, 30 years later, it is being brought to a new generation of fans is incredible. It shows how timeless and influential “One Piece” and its universe have become.
