Masashi Koizukadirector of Wit Studio and of The One Piece revealed his intention to create the new anime “forever”, if fans like the remake:

I’m looking at this as a long-term series. If people like what we’ve created, we know we’re creating a long-term project, and if that happens, it means it’s going to be loved by many. I want to keep going for a long time and create it forever.

So for fans worried about the fact that Wit Studio may be finishing this project like many of his others, it doesn’t seem to be the case.
