Orb: On the Movements of the Earth trailer reveals October 2024 release date

The official website for the anime adaptation of the manga Orb: On the Movements of the Earth (Chi: Chikyū no Undō ni Tsuite) by Uoto revealed with this trailer that the premiere will take place in October 2024 (Fall anime season). Below you can see a promotional image.

Orb: On the Movements of the Earth (Chi: Chikyū no Undō ni Tsuite) began publication in Big Comic Spirits in September 2020 and finished in April 2022 with 8 volumes. The work won the coveted Grand Prize in the twenty-sixth edition of Osamu Tezuka Cultural Awardheld in 2022 in Japan.

Synopsis for Orb: On the Movements of the Earth

The setting is 15th century Europe. It is a time when heretical ideas are burned at the stake. The protagonist, Raphau, a child prodigy, is supposed to major in theology, the most important subject of the time, at university, where he plans to skip a course. However, one day a mysterious man appears at Raphau’s door, studying a certain “truth” amidst the heretical thinking.
