The event AnimeJapan 2024 is being held this weekend in Japan and a new trailer for the original anime called Mayonaka Punch (Midnight Punch), which will debut in July 2024 (Summer Season).
With animation by the studio PA Works (True Tears, Angel Beats!, Another, Shirobako, Charlotte), the staff is mostly the same as the anime Ya Boy Kongming! so we have direction by Shū Honma, script by Hideaki Shirasaka and character design Ryōta Arima (animation direction for The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬) based on illustrations by Tsukasa Kotobuki (Saber Marionette J, Cyberteam in Akihabara).
A manga adaptation by Tomomi Usui (Cube Arts) will begin publishing on March 4th in Monthly Young Ace. The anime will also have a novel.
The “female comedy” anime revolves around “NewTubers”, who appear on the world’s largest video sharing website, “NewTube”. The two women pictured in the promotional image above are Masaki (bottom photo) and Ribu (top photo).
