A Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that it will launch Slim models from PlayStation 5 It is PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. The November launch will take place in the United States at select local retailers and PlayStation Direct, followed by a global launch in the following months.
At the Japan The launch of the Playstation 5 Slim will take place on November 10th.
In Portugal these will be the prices:
- PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive – 549.99 EUR
- PS5 Digital Edition – 449.99 EUR

As the PS5 season approaches, we are pleased to announce that we have a new PS5 model coming out. To meet the evolving needs of gamers, our engineering and design teams collaborated on a new format that offers greater choice and flexibility. The same tech features that make the PS5 the best for gaming are packed into a smaller form factor, along with an attachable Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc drive and a 1TB SSD for more internal storage.
The new PS5 had a volume reduced by more than 30% and weight by 18% and 24% compared to previous models. There are four separate cover panels, with the top having a glossy appearance while the bottom remains matte. If you purchase the PS5 Digital Editionyou can add the Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive for PS5 later, as it will also be sold separately for 119.99 EUROS.
The new model PS5 will be available starting in November in the US at select local retailers and in direct.playstation.com, when available. As soon as the model is in stock current PS5 is sold out, the new PS5 will become the only model available.
A horizontal support will be included in the new model PS5. Plus, a new vertical stand compatible with all models PS5 will be sold separately for 29.99 EUROS.
