Production Issues: Our Last Crusade 2 Delays New Episodes Indefinitely

The second season of the anime adaptation of the novel Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World (Kimi to Boku no Saigo no Senjō, Arui wa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen) by Kei Sazane (history) and To Nekonabe (illustration) was supposed to premiere in 2023, but ended up being postponed to July 2024, however, its production continues to have problems and it has just been announced that the new episodes have been postponed indefinitely.

Giving the justification of “maintaining quality”, it was announced that episode 5 of Our Last Crusade 2 has been postponed indefinitely.

In October 2023, instead of the second season, the first season was rebroadcast, and now the anime will again begin airing selected episodes of the first season in the remaining weeks of the second season’s schedule:

  • August 7: Season 1, Episode 1
  • August 14: Season 1, Episode 2
  • August 21: Season 1, Episode 3
  • August 28: Season 1, Episode 5
  • September 4: Season 1, Episode 9
  • 9/11: Season 1, Episode 10
  • September 18: Season 1, Episode 11
  • September 25: Season 1, Episode 12

The Blu-ray release of Our Last Crusade 2 It was postponed.

The direction of Our Last Crusade 2 it’s from Yuki Inaba (KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World), animation beyond the studio Silver Link (Ange Vierge, Dusk maiden of Amnesia) is now also from Studio Palette (The World’s Finest Assassin) and the character design is now Kaori Yoshikawa (KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World). Yukio Nagasaki (Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War) is the sound director at Bit Grooove Promotion.
