A LEVEL-5 revealed that the game Professor Layton and the New World of Steam will be released for Nintendo Switch in 2025.
Professor Layton and the New World of Steam takes place one year after the events of the Nintendo DS, Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. In this new story, Professor Hershal Layton’s apprentice, Luke Triton, lives in the United States, in the city of Steam Bison. The region became technologically advanced due to the development of steam engines.
However, Luke is still a puzzle enthusiast and became famous in this new place when he began his detective career. After an incident, Luke sends a letter to his former mentor to take part in a new adventure in America.
The game will continue with its traditional logic puzzles. However, this time they will be created by the Japanese group QuizKnock. The more puzzles are solved during the story, the more Steam Bison’s city will develop.
In the Japanese version, Professor Layton will once again be played by the seiyuu Yo Oizumiand Luke will be played by Mio Imadaan actress, model and seiyuu who once played Slice, one of the film’s villains My Hero Academia: Heroes: Rising.
