1. Before Kimetsu no Yaiba!
otaquest.comKoyoharu Gotouge was born on May 5, 1988.
At the age of 24, he just made his debut in Shueisha magazine through the 70th Jump Treasure rookie award with a comic titled Kagarigaria 45-page comic about a demon slayer!
In the following year, 2014, he reappeared in a 45-page one-chapter manga titled Monju Shirou Kyoudai! Despite having released two one-chapter comics, Koyoharu Gotouge isn’t giving up yet!
2. Still working on a one chapter comic!
otaquest.comIn issue 39 of 2014 Weekly Shonen Jumphe also reappeared with a one-chapter comic entitled Rokkotsu-san! The comic ended up becoming the third participant in the Jump Golden Future Cup competition.
In 2015, Koyoharu Gotouge still managed to break into the 21st edition of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine with another one-chapter comic. The comic is Haeniwa no Zigzag, about Zigzag who is able to lift various kinds of curses!
3. Present and future
Finally, he managed to break through the serialization gate through the first chapter of the series. Kimetsu no Yaibawhich was published in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine issue 11 in 2016. Of course, its popularity is currently growing with an anime adaptation that is no less popular and has become one of Shueisha’s best-selling comics in 2019!
