Quan Chi will spread his sorcery in Mortal Kombat 1 on December 21st

A Warner Bros. Games and the NetherRealm Studios announced that the character Quan Chi will be released for Mortal Kombat 1 on December 14th for Kombat Pack owners and on December 21st for all other Kombat Pack players PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PRAÇA (Steam and Epic Games Store) and Nintendo Switch. The Peacemaker character will be released sometime in February 2024 for the same systems.

Quan Chi was born and raised in an Outworld mine with no future with only the guarantee of certain death in its dark tunnels. After betraying his co-workers out of fear for his life, he was saved by a mysterious benefactor who, in exchange for her services, offered to free him from the mines and teach him how to use black magic. After emerging as a master of the Netherrealm’s vilest sorcery, he conspires with Shang Tsung to conquer the other realms. In the trailer above we can see Quan Chi’s powers of necromancy and portal manipulation, which also include his ability to summon skulls, skeletons and demons from the Netherrealm for devastating attacks.

Additionally, the trailer shows for the first time Khameleon, a new Kameo fighter who can assist players during combat with a series of special moves borrowed from the game’s female ninja warriors. Khameleon will be available as part of the Kombat Pack and as a separate purchase sometime in January 2024. You can also catch a glimpse of Peacemaker, the film’s next guest character The Suicide Squad from the DC Comics and the series Peacemaker from the HBO Max. Peacemaker will feature the voice and appearance of the actor and wrestler John Cena and will be available as part of the Kombat Pack and as a separate purchase in February 2024.
