Pillar or Hashira is the highest rank in the demon slayer corps. With a ranking like that, it was no wonder they were so powerful. Even the weakest Pillar would be able to finish off a demon with ease!
So, of the current nine Pillars, who is the weakest and strongest?
9. Shinobu Kocho
Shinobu is not strong enough to cut off the devil’s head. Instead, he used a poisoned sword to kill the demon more painfully than necessary.
Shinobu is really dangerous for weak demons. Just look at what happened to the spider sister on Mount Natagumo. Shinobu can kill him painfully.
What’s the problem? The poison in Shinobu’s sword is less useful to use against a high rank 12 demon Kizuki. Shinobu felt this when he fought Doma. Fortunately, at that time Shinobu had prepared a more dangerous secret weapon. He also opened up opportunities for Inosuke and Kanao to excel against Doma.
8. Mitsuri Kanroji
Kanroji actually has the potential to become one of the strongest demon slayers. His body alone is stronger and tougher than most people. He also has great flexibility! Pillar training with Mitsuri even forces the demon slayers to flex themselves.
But in the manga version… starting from the Hashira Training arc until the end of the battle against Muzan, Mitsuri doesn’t show a performance that makes her stand out compared to other demon slayers.
We’ll see if the anime version will give him more of a chance to shine. The problem is that at the start of the Hashira Training arc in the anime version, we saw another Pillar who didn’t get enough moments in the manga, Obanai, who got an extra battle scene.
Mitsuri’s biggest advantage is arguably her incredible physique, which makes her have the potential to become something of a tank who can survive for a long time even if his body is injured.
7. Kyojuro Rengoku
In fact, Rengoku could potentially be ranked higher. When in the groove Demon Trainhe showed himself to have strength and skills Very large. Akaza just respects him!
One problem: Rengoku only gets to do a lot of action in that arc. He also never got around to having one Demon Slayer Mark. So yes, if we calculate based on the end of the series, he feels like he is behind in strength from the others.
Though I guess, with Rengoku’s abilities when he fought Akaza… if only he could Demon Slayer Markhe could be at the top of this list.
6. Tengen Uzui
If you look at the flow Red Light DistrictUzui is actually one of the strongest Pillars in the Kimetsu no Yaiba. He can appear quite brilliant against Daki and Gyutaro. Unfortunately, Uzui then had to retire because he lost one of his arms.
5. Obanai Iguro
In terms of physical strength, he said Obanai was ranked eighth. Only Shinobu is weaker than him. But in exchange, Obanai has skills very good sword.
It was seen in the fight against Muzan that Obanai was actually good enough to slash the strongest demon’s neck several times. Unfortunately, Muzan was able to immediately recover from his injuries.
During the final battle against Muzan, Obanai was arguably the most active. This makes his abilities stand out.
Anime version Kimetsu no Yaiba then giving Obanai an additional opportunity to shine. The beginning of the Hashira Training arc adds a new scene where Obanai acts with Sanemi!
4. Giyu Tomioka
Giyu may have low self-esteem because he is still haunted by Sabito’s death in the past. But in terms of Water Breathing, he is actually superior to Tanjiro and Urokodaki. Not only did he master 10 techniques, he could also develop the 11th technique.
Giyu was then pressured by Akaza. But Giyu was able to survive long enough for Akaza to fall, proving this man’s toughness.
3. Muichiro Tokito
Muichiro is one of the people who has killed Upper Moon 12 Kizuki alone. Gyokko once felt how terrifying Muichiro’s Mist Breathing was.
What’s even more exciting is: Muichiro is actually only 14 years old. But before joining the demon slayer corps, Muichiro had already killed demons without using a sword Nichirin. Once he joined, he also only needed two months to be recognized as a Pillar.
Not surprisingly, Muichiro is also one of the strongest Pillars Kimetsu no Yaiba.
2. Sanemi Shinazugawa
Sanemi, Gyomei, and Muichiro are three figures who can kill demons before they get the sword Nichirin. Sanemi’s uniqueness is his blood. Sanemi’s blood has the potential to intoxicate demons. Even the mighty Kokushibo was once affected by it.
This means that if Sanemi fights an enemy who is weaker than Kokushibo, then if he is injured the demon he is fighting will be weaker. No wonder Sanemi’s body is full of scars.
What makes Sanemi even better is that he doesn’t hesitate to use any means to defeat the devil. Including burning them with a combination of fire and oil bottles.
1. Gyomei Himejima
Gyomei has been recognized as the strongest Pillar Kimetsu no Yaiba by Tanjiro and also Inosuke. In terms of physical strength, Gyomei is able to push large rocks very easily.
With power like that, it’s no surprise that Gyomei’s weapon is a combination of an ax and a large spiked iron ball, not a sword. This makes Gyomei a fearsome enemy for ordinary demons. Whether far away or close, Gyomei can target them.
Then don’t forget: before he got the sword Nichirin, Gyomei can kill a demon by beating the creature until the sun rises! Physically, it’s really scary.
Those are the nine strongest pillars Kimetsu no Yaiba. What do you think?
