The Remake of Ranma ½ will premiere on October 5th on Netflixbut some episodes have already started circulating online in a leak that claims to come from a hack on the streaming platform or from an Asian dubbing company.
According to different sources, this material was obtained through a ‘hack’ on Netflix or from a dubbing studio in Asia, however, others suspect someone was involved in the Anime NYCa convention where the first episode will be shown in advance in a few weeks.
Although the full materials have not been fully distributed on the Internet at the time of this writing, the alleged opening sequence for this new anime series is available online in its entirety featuring the theme song “Iinazuke Kyun (許婚っきゅん)” performed by Year (Chainsaw Man/ Tiger and Bunny/Dead Demons Dededededestruction).
The leak has caused quite a stir among fans, as although it has happened in the past, it is not something that is very common to see. However, all of this raises an important question: where is the security in the distribution of digital content and what will Japan think when it finds out about this?
The production of this remake of Ranma ½ is in charge of the studio MAPPA (Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, The God of High School, Dororo, Dorohedoro), with Konosuke Uda (One Piece, Sailor Moon) in the direction.

Ranma 1/2 Synopsis
The story revolves around a teenager named Ranma Saotome, who has been training in martial arts since childhood. As a result of an accident during a training trip, he is cursed to become a girl when exposed to cold water, while hot water turns him back into a boy. Throughout the series, Ranma searches for a way to rid himself of his curse, while his friends, enemies, and many fiancées constantly get in his way and interfere.
